What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:11, Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

God

There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternal and one being in three persons as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1-2, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Revelation 4:11)

God the Father

God the Father is sometimes referred to as the first person of the Trinity. The true follower of Jesus is told to think of God, the Creator, as our Heavenly Father, even to the point of calling Him, “Abba.” Our Heavenly Father answers our prayers and loves to give good gifts to His children. (Matthew 23:9, Romans 8:15, Ephesians 4:6, James 1:17)

Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One. Empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth, He was crucified for our sins, He died, was buried, resurrected and then He ascended into heaven. He is alive today at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven and in His people through the Holy Spirit on earth. He is true God and true man. (Isaiah 9:6-7, John 1:1-5,14, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Holy Spirit

We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. God desires all people to be restored to fellowship with Him by believing, repenting, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters. (John 1:12, 3:3-7, 20:31, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Timothy 2:4)

Salvation

The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers the Christian, enabling each Christ-follower to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The baptism and filling of the Holy Spirit equips believers to be bold witnesses for Christ in both word and deed. (Acts 1:4-8, Luke 11:13, John 14:16-21, John 20:21-22)

Final Things

God’s overall plan is His ever-increasing government with the visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His glorious bride, His Church. A final judgement will determine the separation of the righteous unto eternal reward in heaven and the lost unto eternal punishment of hell. (Isaiah 9:6-7, Matthew 25:31-46, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 19:11-16, 20:14-15)
