Our History
Marlis Kulus
Founding Director
Marlis Kulus came to know the Lord at the age of 37, having known nothing about the God of the Bible. Upon receiving the Lord into her life, she dove into six years of study through Bible Study Fellowship, where she grew spiritually and began hearing God’s call on her life. She became an avid student of The Word, and taught many people the things she learned.
Marlis started women’s support groups, then founded a ministry called “Apple Retreat Ministry” which hosted women’s retreats in homes, churches, and at the Minnesota State Correctional Facility in Shakopee, Minnesota. She was a staff member of Friendship Church in Prior Lake, Minnesota before founding the Ministry of Reconciliation in 2006.
In 2015, God called Marlis home to heaven, but she left behind this message to share with everyone:
“I am passionate about the Ministry of Reconciliation, for I truly had a need to be reconciled to Jesus. I lived a life without Christ for 37 years and needed to find my salvation and eternal life in Jesus, and learn to walk in His ways so He could become Lord of my life. I had a lot to overcome from my experiences with the world, my flesh and the lies of the enemy.
How about you? Are there some areas in your life where you are not experiencing His peace or the presence of His Holy Spirit? Jesus is alive today! His ministry of reconciliation is alive today and working through His Holy Spirit for you and me. If you choose to bring Him your contrite heart, any wounding or pain, and with humility allow Him to walk you through the unresolved issues in your life with His love and compassion, Jesus will help you. It is a beautiful journey at MOR, and Jesus is trustworthy.”
